Our vision is to provide user-friendly AI enabling explorers and innovators in any discipline to

in a manner open to multiple communities of interests, via a simple dialog with an AI character called 'Sofia'.

Our Business

The Idea Exploration Portal (IEP) will directly address several needs related to innovation:

• Need for new cognitive tools to boost human inventiveness and imagination.
  
• Need to overcome the limitedtime/resources to innovate. 
• Need to find trans-disciplinary solutions to complex global problems.
  
• Need to immortalize the ideas and precious skills of select groups of Knowledge Contributors.
• Need to leverage the cooperative strength  of communities of interests for competitiveness (Web 2.0, 3.0).
  

The user plays an exploration game with Sofia as a guide to navigate Idea Ecosystems (Sofia' s imagination). 

Sofia initially collects data about the user' s interests and innovation goals to adapt her guidance method to the user' s innovation needs.

Conditions for Innovation

Sofia' s rationality (logics, heuristics, ontology) is based on hard empirical data: the history of arts, sciences, mathematics and technology clearly indicates that two conditions are necessary for innovation:

1. Innovations don't occur in a vacuum, but within structured contexts of cooperating and competing ideas.
2. Innovations don't usually emerge randomly, but through an interplay between reasoning and creative insights.

  Founder' s Biography

   As a child, Sofia' s Founder,

   Edouard Siregar loved

   dinosaurs, Flamenco guitar,

   and astronomy.  These events

   may have prompted an early

   passion for the 

   cross-disciplinary fertilization 

   of ideas!

   After getting degrees in

   mathematics, physics, and

   becoming a PhD fellow in

   astrophysics, he was a

   physics professor at CUNY,

   and won a US NRC/NAS award

   for work at NASA, where

   he became a Principal

   Scientist in AI projects.

   His interests now include the

   cognition and AI of 

   imagination, intuition & insight,

   and their relation with the new

   'physics' of (idea) networks.

   Dr. Siregar is the inventor of

   the SOFIA AI engine driving

   the IEP, and of the IEP

   concept & architecture.
